Introducing Instrumental - Tuned-In Practice
So, we are slowly working our way back to band rehearsals now the rule of 6 has been introduced again.
Not only am I planning how I'm going to fit back into my band uniform (a lot of cheese has been consumed during lockdown!), I'm also planning how I'm going to get my lip back in shape!
You may remember a post that I wrote on feeling guilty about not practising a little while ago (click here to read) .
Some of the main factors that were putting me off practising my instrument were:
Lacking inspiration and motivation
Not finding practising as fun as I used to
Not knowing what to work on
I know that I am not alone in my feelings about practise so I developed InstruMental.
This is a completely new section of the site (you can access it via the menu at the top of the page!).
InstruMental is dedicated to fun and mindful practise where you are 'tuned-in' to how your practise sessions make you feel not just what you work on in those sessions.
As you can guess by the name, InstruMental combines two things I am passionate about - mental health and music.
The aim of InstruMental is to get us back into the swing of things, so we're ready to return to band, whilst improving how we feel about practising and making our sessions fun and motivating!
