Sheona White to Adjudicate 2025 Pemberton Solo Contest

Pemberton Band have announced the return of their annual solo contest in April 2025. The adjudicator for the day will be world-renowned tenor horn soloist, Sheona White.

Pemberton Solo Contest 2025 Details

The second annual Pemberton Solo, Duet and Quartet contest will be held on Saturday 5th April at Pemberton Band Room, starting at 10am. Competitors are welcome to play any piece including slow melodies, air varies or concerto excerpts.

The contest is open to all brass band instruments and entries cost £5. Competitors are allowed to bring an accompanist. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners.

Following the contest there will be a gala concert featuring the band and the contest's adjudicator and internationally acclaimed tenor horn soloist, Sheona White. Tickets for the concert are £10.
