RNCM Young Projects offers a range of workshops and experiences for young musicians to explore and progress their musical skills. If you're a lower brass, percussionist or trombonist, there are some specific workshops on offer for you - let's explore them!

Young Lower Brass

Young Lower Brass offers a series of free workshops for tuba and middle brass musicians aged between 8 and 18 led by RNCM tutors. It is a chance for young musicians to meet other lower brass musicians and recieve expert tuition on all aspects of lower brass playing.

Participants have the opportunities to experience playing as a section like they will in a brass band while still getting time to play with a community of players as their individual instruments too.

Participants will embark on sessions covering breathing, warming up, solo playing and ensemble playing. Tutors will guide participants from fundamentals through to extended technique.
